Hi, I’m Melda, the founder and maker behind Gleamel.
I’m a computer engineer by training, but I’ve always loved working with my hands. After leaving my job, I bought a small sewing machine and gave myself the chance to try something different. I didn’t have the whole journey planned just a few ideas and the courage to begin.
As my work developed, so did my equipment, my skills and my ambitions. That small beginning gradually became Gleamel.
Today, I design, make and prepare every piece myself, caring for each stage of the process. From gloves and sleeves to scarves and veils, I love creating the details that help a bridal look feel personal.
I’m always researching, finding inspiration and experimenting with new ideas. There’s always something new I want to learn or try and usually another design taking shape in my head.
Seeing something I’ve made being worn and loved brings me so much joy. Knowing that someone has chosen one of my pieces for an important moment in their life makes the work feel especially meaningful. That happiness is what keeps me learning, creating and growing Gleamel.
